Hula hoops for fitness and fun!

Success Stories
We have seen this transformation in others as well. When we first met one particular 11-year-old girl (name withheld), she wouldn't even look up from the ground. After a 10-week kids hoop class, though, she performed a choreographed hoop dance with Stephanie at the mall in front of at least 50 people. She went from being shy, with very little self-confidence, to a bright, confident young lady.
Melody, the founder of Boomtown Hoops – the one who keeps it all together – has also benefited greatly from hooping. Melody suffers from degenerative disc disease, leaving her with four collapsed discs that cause pain in her back and neck. She had a titanium plate put in her neck, to ease the bone-rubbing pain. Doctors said she would need back surgery as well. Thanks to hooping – and the effect hooping has of stabilizing and strengthening core muscles – Melody has avoided surgery and her pain is significantly lessened. She says on days she hoops, she feels better. In addition, Melody has undergone gallbladder removal, two umbilical hernias (both removed), and ab reconstruction surgery. After the proper recovery time, she was able to resume hooping, speeding up the healing process, strengthening once again.
